David will be presenting The Exercise Connection: Activities for Physical Education, under the Adaptive PE portion of the conference.

Sonya Ansari Center for Autism has adopted the EC Philosophy. David will host three presentations, one for the centers staff and one for the parents. Then the parents and children will join the staff and participate in exercise stations. It will be an incredible and informative day for all involved!

 

 

 


Honorary Dad and Program Director

David has been working with AutismOne for the past year. Most recently he was named an Honorary AutismOne Dad! He is also the Program Director for the Student Scholars Program for AutismOne.


Helping Children Reach their Potential

David is the Recreation Coordinator at Giant Steps, a therapeutic day school for children with autism. He has been developing Autism Fitness Programs for students between the ages of 5 and 21. The autism fitness programs are designed in groups of 10-15 students by classroom. The students are assessed bi-annually and have transitioned well into the large group activities. He will be soon conducting a research study to understand student behaviors following the fitness program.

Earlier this year David presented at this conference. It was an incredible conference with a lot of great speakers and information for parents and anyone involved in the lives of children on the spectrum.
